Mahasarakham University Faculty Members Participate in The Colombo Conference on University-Industry Collaboration
Faculty of Engineering at Mahasarakham University (MSU) is proud to announce the participation of its esteemed lecturers in The 1st University-Industry Collaborations for Sustainable Development Conference (ICSD 2024), also known as The Colombo Conference.
Prof. Dr. Anongrit Kangrang, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kris Chaimoon, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siwa Kaewplang, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nida Chaimoon are all part of the Erasmus+ project ‘Strengthening University-Enterprise Collaboration for Resilient Communities in Asia’ (SECRA). This EU-funded project tackles the crucial issue of University-Enterprise Collaboration (UEC) in disaster response.
The Colombo Conference provided a platform for international collaboration, bringing together presenters from Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, England, and other countries. It featured presentations, student pitching activities, and a SECRA-organized Policy Dialogue on UEC and Disaster Resilience (DR).
Joint workshops were held alongside the conference, fostering knowledge exchange between project member countries: Estonia, Philippines, Sweden, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, and Thailand. The event took place from March 16th to 21st, 2024, at gap HQ, Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Earl’s Regency Hotel, Kandy, Sri Lanka. The University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna, and University of Sri Jayewardenepura served as gracious hosts.
